Isaiah 4:2-6
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Luke 21:5-19

God’s Promises

All three of these scriptures have to do with God making promises to the people of the world. In the scripture from Isaiah, God promises to wash away the guilt of His people so that His glory will make the city of Jerusalem a place of safety and shelter. In the scripture from Luke, Jesus says that terrible things will happen such as natural disasters, wars, and persecutions. The good news is that He tells us that if we stand strong and believe in God, we will be saved.  In the scripture from 1 Thessalonians, Paul says that if we believe in God, we will go to heaven. If we encourage people to remember God’s promises, they will have faith and hope during bad and hurtful times, as well as the promise of heaven.

Prayer:  Thank you for these three scriptures that help us remember your promises. If we encourage people to have faith and hope, we know they receive the promise of heaven. Amen.
