  • National Youth Development Information Center
    This comprehensive web site for youth issues, sponsored by the 27-member National Collaboration for Youth, offers extensive coverage of youth development programs, with links to reports about the effectiveness of such programs, information on how to get funding for programs, and detailed guides showing how programs actually work. This site has an extensive database to search for information on specific topics, such as mentoring. It presents detailed yet easily understandable information about federal programs supporting youth development as well as youth development legislation. The links page is exhaustive and valuable to any youth worker.
  • Understanding Your Teenager
    The website from the popular Christian seminar Understanding Your Teenager. This site gives an outline of the seminar, as well as brief biographies of the people who present it and quotes from people who have been through the program. The website also features a schedule of where UYT seminars are taking place and who is presenting them, information for planning a seminar, and links to parenting resources and tips.
  • ASPIRA
    The website of the ASPIRA Association, dedicated to the betterment of Latino youth, especially Puerto Ricans in the Commonwealth and on the mainland. This website gives a detailed history of the organization and what it stands for. It has lots of information on activities at ASPIRA offices, on public policy involving and affecting Latino youth, and on scholarships. The website has colorful, eye-catching graphics and animations and is easy to use. The links page connects users to various sites, some related to the youth field.
  • International Volunteer Projects
    An exhaustive site for anyone looking to volunteer for service projects in different countries. Hundreds of projects are organized in Europe, Africa, Asia and America each summer, running from two to four weeks. Some examples: building a playground for kids in Wales, developing hiking trails in the Black Forest, and restoring historical monuments in Morocco. The site offers information about locations and dates, program costs, and ways to contact former participants.
