This year the group will follow that old UMM adage – 'when you meet, eat' – by taking responsibility for one of the Monday night FEMS dinners each month and having its meeting following the dinner. We hope to have teams of 3-4 men each month prepare and serve dinner, and have many more men come to the dinner, help clean up afterward, and stay for the meeting. If enough men come, cleanup will go quickly and we should be able to start our meetings by 7:30 p.m. as usual. Of course for this to work, we need volunteers to spread out the workload (and the heartburn?), so please consider lending a helping hand. If you would like to help with dinner preparations on occasion, please let Charlie Glinka or Mel Mott know.

The current goals of the group are:
  1. To develop constructive interpersonal relationships that further spiritual growth and awareness, and
  2. To actively participate in Epworth's programs and ministries.

Please watch for our meeting dates (usually the third Monday of the month) and plan to attend. You won't go away hungry -- either in body or spirit!

Members of Epworth's UMM group serve as wheelchair escorts on occasion at Asbury's Wilson Health Care Center to assist residents in going to the Center's Sunday morning Protestant service. The men's group also prepares and serves dinner at Epworth's annual Mothers' Child Banquet in May.
