Epworth UMC: Youth, Children and Scouts

At Epworth, there are two United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) groups, one is for the middle school crowd and is called Jr. UMYF, the other one, for senior high students is Sr. UMYF. Both groups meet at the church on Sunday evenings during the school year from 6:00 until 8:00. UMYF -- Preparing Youth for Service Epworth has good reason to be proud of its youth program, which provides a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship for our junior high and high school students. The enthusiasm and dedication of the youth are built upon the good foundation Epworth provides, not only through the UMYF and other organized activities, but also through the example set by the members of their church family. Everyone who teaches a Sunday School class, helps with a church clean-up day, works in the Thrift Shop, counts the Sunday offering, helps out in the office, visits shut-ins, sings in a choir, greets visitors, participates in Camp Joy,  is an active committee member, or serves the church in any of the many possible ways, is also serving as a Christian role model for our youth. You are demonstrating to them that such activities are not only important and valued, but are also enjoyable and rewarding at every stage of life.
